British Virgin Islands, Caribbean
A week exploring the British Virgin Islands
The British Virgin Islands are made of 60 distinct islands, small and large, set down amidst some of the bluest water in the world. In January, we’re embarking on our second sail through these parts after our first adventure in January, 2018.
Each day, we’ll sail 3-5 hours from island to island, stopping at secluded coves, tiny towns, and vibrant beach bars - keep your eye out for Jack Sparrow and the like. This is Bolt’s version of the classic beach vacay - sailing, plenty of floating and swimming in perfect 77 degree water, a dash or three of rum in the evening, and card games off the back of the boat in the wee hours. On land, we’ll find great restaurants, quaint towns full of friendly folks, and interesting spots to explore like The Baths on Virgin Gorda.
We operate as a crew - everyone is expected to participate in cooking and helping to keep the boat clean. Interested in learning more about sailing? Our captains will be happy to answer your questions, and if you’re into it, there are always sails to help put up. Over the course of a week, you’ll come together alongside your fellow Bolt members around these tasks shared in common. Each boat will be captained by an expert sailor.
The itinerary? Not set in stone. Dependent on weather and the whim of Bolt members. But a stop at the world famous Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke? Non-negotiable.
